Hello! My name is Chara Blagrove, and I am a first-generation student currently in my first year at Fordham University. I am located at the Lincoln Center campus and pursuing a B.A. in Film and Television (Film Concentration) with a minor in Theatre and Spanish. I was born and raised in the New Haven, Connecticut area, where I graduated from Sacred Heart Academy with high honors all four years. I am currently seeking a Spring 2025 internship in New York City. As a part of the Fordham community, I maintain an active membership with my participation in clubs such as the Black Student Association, Caribbean Students Club, and Splinter, FCLC's musical theatre group. For Splinter, I assist in overseeing productions, ensuring the success of the shows as Assistant Stage Manager. In high school, I also held many leadership positions, including Black Student Union President, Drama Guild Vice President, Student Government (Junior Vice President and Homeroom Representative), Peer Connector, and Student Ambassador. Creatively, I have had the opportunity to be the Social Media Manager for two years during the school musical as well as a Production Assistant. In this role, I took on the responsibly Alongside my studies, I have a strong passion for the performing arts. I have performed as Lonny Barnet in Rock of Ages, Piggy in The Lord of the Flies, Mayzie LaBird in Seussical Jr., and more. I nurture this passion by regularly attending live performances and surrounding myself with other artists individuals.
