Duties & Responsibilities*Assign team members their duties, and inspect work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness. *Examine rooms, floor corridors, public and back of house areas to determine need for repairs or replacement of furniture or equipment, and make recommendations to management*Record data concerning work assignments, productivity and time records, and prepare relevant reports*Assist manager in preparing reports concerning room occupancy, payroll expenses, and department expenses*Managing the purchasing and inventory of supplies for the department*Maintain clear and efficient communication and coordination with the Front Office and other departments of the hotel. *Orient and familiarise new personnel with hotel facilities and operating hours*Review outside laundry facility servicing to ensure quality, undamaged linens and consistent delivery, keeping in mind the budgetary guidelines*Co-ordinate with vendors eg: Pest control, Laundry services and other outsource services.*Attend to any guest complaints and take service recovery measures if required*Organize and participate in monthly linen Inventories*Monitor hotel's renovating projects and organize deep cleaning tasks, keep records and place the appropriate equipment in the renovated rooms.
