Profile bio

About Charan Pasupuleti

Before I was born, I was captivated by the stories I heard about Earth - the amazing, beautiful tales of nature, the inhabitants and their co-living. When it was my turn to choose a planet to call home, there was no doubt in my mind. I chose Earth. There are many lives before birth competing to inhabit this planet with the same enthusiasm I once had.But as I grew older, I began to realize that the reality of this planet was not quite as idyllic as the stories had made it seem. Competition for resources was fierce, and the delicate balance of life was constantly under threat.I am determined to make this world the best place to live in.With this passion, I majored in Biotechnology - the study of life & technology.I threw myself into research on Multidrug-resistant bacterial strains, explored the algae community and enhanced their ability to fight synthetic chemicals and produce energy; interned at a biosensors startup to quantify cholesterol levels in the body and fought crimes by establishing capsaicin detection methodology for a forensic lab. This rush in adrenaline brought me to the prestigious Johns Hopkins University to major in Chemical & Biomolecular engineering. Here, I delved deep into the science behind protecting life on Earth and began exploring ways to scale up my research. Being the best medical and technological University, here there were more resources than I ever thought, my brain was fed with many courses I never learned before. I was lucky to work at Johns Hopkins School of medicine on effect of certain genes that regulate chronic hypoxia in breast cancer cell lines. My wanderlust to know more about this planet took me to the greater Himalayas, harsh death valley, grand canyon and to the southernmost point of the United States alluring me more towards nature and people.Talking with some of the greatest scientists and good people, convinced me that I am not alone in this war. These experiences only solidified my resolve and reinforced the idea that this never ending pursuit of knowledge helps me rebuild the planet once we had.I am ready to take on the bio-industry, where endless possibilities exist for making the world a better place. There are still so many complex problems to solve, so much work to do, and to give back to this amazing planet.Armed with skills in biotechnology, programming, communication and management, I am ready to face any obstacle and continue my mission to create the best possible future for our planet and generations to come.I FOUND MY PURPOSE IN LIFE AND THIS DETERMINATION WILL NEVER END.-Charan.
