I have 25 years of Project Management and Continuous Improvement (CI) experience in Automotive Manufacturing, Public Service, Service and Healthcare.In May 1995 I started my career at Daewoo (South Korean OEM) Motors and I worked there for 2 years. l learned about fast paced manufacturing and mass production. In March 1997 I moved on to Honda (Japanese OEM), and learned Japanese way of manufacturing and continuous improvement. I learned about motivating teams through Japanese lean methodologies to improve QCDMS- Quality, Cost, Delivery, Management & safety. I led many Quality Circle teams and in 2002 my team won best quality award from Honda Japan.I spent almost 6.5 years at Honda.In October 2003 I immigrated to Canada. I was given chance to show my skills for a Tier 2 automotive stamping and assemblies company (Kobay) making parts for Automotive OEM. I implemented SMED and other CI projects at Kobay to improve the efficiency of the plant. I worked at Kobay for 6.5 years.January 2010, I joined Mississauga Transit to embed a culture of continuous improvement. In October 2013, I moved on to City's Process Improvement / PMSO office as a Project Manager, Lean Deployment. I am very passionate about Change and believe in Challenging the Status Quo. I trained thousands of staff, embedded Lean in numerous divisions, coached staff on number of projects and City reaped huge benefits. On June 30 2017, I decided to move on and focus on my own Lean consulting company. I will continue to serve and implement learning from Lean Manufacturing into all the sectors.
