Charilyne (like Marilyn) is a versatile self-starter, master communicator, music educator, nonprofit professional, & consultant for a cause. As a lifelong musician, her creativity and careful attention to detail assists her in designing innovative solutions, whether in front of an orchestra or a client. Charilyne honed her leadership and communication skills in the classroom, preparing her to wear the many hats of a director in the nonprofit sector. Her love for teaching also inspires her love for learning.Currently, Charilyne serves as Communications Director and Conductor for the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra. In addition to her role on the artistic team, she also serves on the administrative team managing GDYO’s communications, social media, & alumni activities while assisting with development, school outreach, & community partnerships. Charilyne is responsible for introducing new programming such as free tickets for teachers, guest artists, a student social media team & more. She is an active musician, clinician, and adjudicator in the DFW area in addition to contributing to the local nonprofit news website Dallas Doing Good. Her diverse experiences as a parent, teacher, freelance musician, arts administrator, & community consultant have all shaped her musical philosophy and holistic approach.
