For as long as I can remember, I always wanted to be a writer, that is until I started high school and my computer lab teacher put a computer in front of me. I was so amazed by this new machine. I wanted to know how it worked, how I could you use it, and all it could do. During that period of my life I just wanted a career where I could just sit at my computer, help others, and type all day. Then life took a turn and I ended up in the healthcare field. I was offered a job to become a Medical Biller and Coder. I enjoyed it so much I went to school and obtained my diploma, while working for a Nursing Agency. I quickly moved up within the company after graduation. I went from a home health aide to a Supervisor and On Call Coordinator in a very short period of time. After 14 years with the Nursing Agency, I decided I wanted a career change. I wanted to do something different, new, and challenging. I always loved learning new things and meeting new people. So, I started networking and found out about this amazing Pharmaceutical company. I applied and landed a new career. During the first month on the job I kept having these computer issues. It seem like every other day I was calling IT. Finally, I asked IT to show me how to fix my own phone issues and was I amazed and intrigued. So, I decided I was going to add IT Tech Certification to my goals and here I am accomplishing another goal. I am very passionate about helping others, learning new things, and I love a challenge. I guess this sums up why I am becoming an IT Tech. I feel so inspired to be able to finally combine all the skills that I obtained into one field that I am compassionate about.
