Charina’s primary focus has been working with start-up to mid-sized organizations as well as large organizations that are seeking specialized solutions to improve their organizational and individual performance in a local as well as the global environment.As the VP of HR Operations and Six Sigma for the Barbelo Group, she is responsible for the internal day to day operations of the organization as well as an external Consultant to clients where she serves innovative strategic human capital and organizational change initiatives in talent acquisition, leadership development, performance management, HRIS, process improvement, executive and career coaching. Charina partnered with Atlas Accelerator, an early-stage technology investor, as the HR Director to invested startups. She helps over 25 companies build high-performing teams and HR departments from the ground up by providing organizational development and coaching Founders and Executives on strategy throughout the different stages of their growth. She also sits on a few Advisory Boards and teaches graduate-level HR & OD courses at the University of Washington and created the Organizational Development Program and curriculum for Bellevue College. Charina led significant global process, cost, and employee engagement improvement initiatives as an HR Executive for Boeing and Honeywell. Prior to her global roles, she was the Sr. Regional HR Manager for Pepsi and Sara Lee where she handled multiple locations and union contracts. With over 15 years of experience in private and public organizations, Charina has served clients in the United States, APAC & EMEA. She is a Certified Green Belt Six Sigma Lean Practitioner and Integral Coach for professionals and executives. As an active member of SHRM and certified Professional Human Resources (PHR) since 2001, she collaborates with other HR leaders nationwide on solutions to labor issues and innovative ways to improve HR and Business performance.
