In my current role I plan, create and share engaging content across Robert Welch’s social media channels and build brand awareness by creating relationships and working with social media influencers. I work alongside a PR agency to create campaigns, distribute press releases and send out press mailers, which gain both national and regional coverage. I write SEO-friendly copy for the website, as well as copy for email marketing campaigns, blogs, print marketing and advertorials. I manage partnerships and liaise with them to build brand equity and drive awareness of Robert Welch.

I was part of the Social Media Programme Team at NFU Mutual, teaching and mentoring over 180 NFU Mutual agencies across the UK to create relationships and drive sales through social media.

I was solely responsible for all the Camping and Caravanning Club’s social media channels. This included the main Club channels but also the social media channels for The Camping and Caravanning Club’s other products: Ready Camp, Camping in the Forest and Worldwide Motorhoming Holidays. Overall, I created content, implemented campaigns and responded to posts, direct messages, complaints and enquiries on over 15 different social media channels, which included Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Google +. I also launched the Club’s members-only Forum in 2015; the Club Forum now has over 13,000 active users and over 1,200 different discussions. I managed a paid social budget and produced monthly reports on all channels, using Google Analytics. As well as providing training on social media within the business, I also wrote and implemented a Social Media Policy for the Club, alongside the HR department. I also helped the Events Team with planning and attending events, updated the website with relevant content for the team’s current campaigns, liaised with bloggers and vloggers to generate content and kept up-to-date with new social media channels and initiatives. Achievements:• Awarded Gold for Best Use of Social Media at the CIPR Pride Awards (Midlands) 2016.• Launched Instagram for The Camping and Caravanning Club.• Increased Facebook followers for The Camping and Caravanning Club by over 80% since 2015.• Introduced paid social media to The Camping and Caravanning Club, for all products. This achieved a positive ROI.• Liaised with social media influencers and ambassadors who have supported The Camping and Caravanning Club and its products on social media, creating positive brand awareness. • Launch campaigns and competitions on the social channels, including the #MemorableMoments campaign. • Provided real-time social media coverage at events.

I was the main point of contact for all communications for the charity: creating and updating copy for the website, writing press releases, reviewing publications, monitoring and updating all social media platforms, etc. I stored, analysed and collated data on all the communications and PR activity, and produced monthly reports. Alongside the Events department, I also prepared for and attended medical conferences and fundraising events. I liaised with external companies to produce campaigns and publications, and I worked alongside the Business and Operations department in order to identify and deliver on key opportunities.
