About Charisma Ceant'E

I am a Graduate Student at Metrostate University studying Public Non-Profit Administration. After working in the Non-profit sector for the last 20 years, I decided to go public and work for Minneapolis Public Schools. Transitioning into the education industry is a strategic move, and I am a better person for following my heart. I love interacting with the families, students, teachers, and principals. There is no greater joy than knowing that I and others have grown and had a need met because of our interaction. When I'm not working, I am hanging out with my daughter who is growing every day. I love watching her grow. I am raising my princess into a queen, and she is training me to be humble in power. I enjoy sleeping, massages, self-care, swimming, watching animated films, and playing with my Minnie me whenever possible.I like meeting new people and developing new skills, so please feel free to say hello and share a story with me. I am excited and honored to be a part of the MPS family.*Leadership abilities and skills (3 of Forbes 16 essential leadership skills)*Fearless Agility: demonstrated ability to quickly and effectively think, decide, and inspire as needed and implement adaptations to keep up with critical changing and competitive demands Earning Respect: I am accountable for my behavior and hold my myself responsible for the effect my influence has on othersAbility to commit to a vision: I am inflexible in getting goals accomplished, and I hold steadfast in the mission and concept of the cause.*Engagement skills and strategies*Connect families with information and power sources where their voices increase pathways for changeConnect school staff to families and facilitate conversations that minimize conflict and increase partnershipsEncourage family involvement through parent and family connections and encourage family engagement through school and family connections
