I am a Field Engineer at Chadwick Geotechnics, a leading geotechnical engineering firm in Australia. With a PhD in Civil Engineering from RMIT University, I have over 5 years of experience in the construction industry, specializing in ground investigations and earthworks.My passion is to apply sustainable construction practices and materials to enhance the performance and durability of infrastructure projects. I have conducted extensive research on high volume fly ash concrete, using advanced techniques such as XRD, SEM, CT Scan, and MAS-NMR to analyze its cement binder chemistry, microstructure, and pore-structure. I have also tested and modeled its mechanical and durability properties, and demonstrated its feasibility and benefits in reinforced concrete beams.In my current role, I perform various geotechnical investigations, such as borehole logging, rock coring, test pits, and instrumentation. I also conduct footing inspections, crane pad assessments, and earthwork supervision. I use CoreGS software to log and report the geotechnical data, and comply with the relevant standards and codes. I work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders, and communicate effectively to deliver high-quality work and exceed expectations. I am committed to continuous learning and improvement, and eager to take on new challenges and opportunities in the geotechnical engineering field.
