The purpose of the Textiles and Apparel Sector Standard is to enhance the quality and comparability of sustainability information, by setting the global best practice for organizations operating in textile production, apparel & footwear manufacturing and jewellery as well as retail.This multi-stakeholder Working Group will be tasked with developing a global Sector Standard which then will be published by the Global Sustainability Standards Board (GSSB).

Responsibilities - • Implement OHSAS 18001 throughout the organisation.• Support Group Sustainability by creating processes to collate relevant HR data • Manage HR operations with eight direct reports in the areas of Health & Safety, Performance Management, Job profiling and evaluation (HAY), Industrial relations and Internal events & sports.Achievements - • Drafted a Health and Safety Policy and procedural document that conforms to the OHSAS standard.• Planned an organisational wide Health and Safety implementation program. • Addressed the immediate issues of Health and Safety based on a Risk matrix prioritisation.• Process mapped HR operations which lacked proper documentation or timelines i.e. managing low performers, promotion cycle and eligibility criteria and consequence grid for industrial relation issues.• Managed an upgrade of the Performance Management system (KPIsoft).
