The premise of a Measurement Specialist is to analyze data from meters that are directly correlated to specific wells. The data must be accurate for the profitability of the involved parties. Once the data is received I must examine it and determine if the data is accurate. If inconsistencies are observed, I can do further research into other programs that allow me to validate the data. If I still am seeing data that is questionable, I will contact either the foreman that is in charge of that well or communicate with the technicians in the field to make necessary repairs. I also, set up and disconnect new meters in the system we use. As well as correspond with personnel about necessary parameters that need to be acquired to complete these tasks. Monthly we have deadlines in which all tasks must be completed, and reports ran. I have a team in which we must all work together to finish our tasks in a timely manner.

In this position I would process and QAQC the product. I would retrieve sample for laboratory testing. I would verify the bar codes with our internal and governmental databases. I would also help run crews and help with time management.

Thailand

I am the lab manger for Thailand for cementing operations. I adhere to API and Halliburton standards and have trained my staff to do the same. I have been running the cement operations lab for Two and a half years, but have had cement experience for almost ten years. I have also been in charge of production enhancement and research and development for both cementing and production enhancement in other locations. Being a lab manger has helped me with writing procedures and executing the most efficient way for my team to operate. I have routine audits from my customers and am familiar with their needs.

As a senior lab technician I tested cement and fracturing fluids. I also had to adhire to company policys and procedures and make sure that my co-workers followed them as well. I was in charge of large specialized projects for customers. I also had to train technicians on various testing laboratory procedures.
