I have the opportunity to coach and train leaders across the nation on internal and external strategies with a focus on improving educational equity. Innovate Public Schools is a nonprofit organization working to make sure that all students -- especially low-income students and students of color -- receive a world-class public education that prepares them for success in college, careers and beyond. We’re building a movement of families, educators, and business and elected leaders who together will make this vision a reality. We build the capacity of parents and educators to innovate and act together to create world-class public schools, and we publish easy-to-understand school quality data and research that highlights both problems and solutions.

I lead the spiritual development, curriculum writing, and daily operations for nearly 200 children over the course of 9 weeks. Our multi-sector partnerships decreased the cost for parents without eliminating the quality of programming.

I served as a community liaison for families and schools while offering spiritual guidance for children across the West Boulevard Corridor through curriculum writing, mentoring, teaching, and advocacy. With key partnerships, I was able to assist and monitor children's character, leadership, and academic growth.

As a community organizing fellow, I had the opportunity to work with our lead organizer across issues such as payday lending, food desserts, and education. I'm most proud of our ability to secure and train nearly 300 public school volunteers in less than a 3-month time frame as well as working with the Mayor's Healthy City Initiative.
