The findings from the project are being compiled into a policy white paper to be used by citizens and policymakers alike who are interested in learning about the legacy of urban renewal and advocating for policies that seek to reverse its impact on marginalized communities. In addition to this project, I have assisted with other projects including the organization's monthly brown bag programs, the Holiday Gala, our annual Mardi Gras celebration, and our first-ever Virtual Local History Conference. As the intern auction chair, I have been assisting the planning committee with managing auction items and logistics, recruiting volunteers, and tracking fundraising progress. -
