Charlene Platon, MS, RN, PHN, FNP-BC, is the Director of Ambulatory Nursing at Stanford Health Care (SHC). In her role, she collaborates with operational and clinical partners to advance, develop, refine, and innovate ambulatory nursing clinical delivery operations throughout the enterprise.Charlene is a passionate healthcare innovator and a founding member of the Technology, Research, and Innovation Steering Committee at SHC, where she represents innovation in ambulatory nursing. She was also selected as one of the 12 inaugural Johnson & Johnson Nurse Innovation Fellows. During her fellowship, Charlene focused on supporting and promoting nursing and clinician well-being, which led her to start Fifth Window, a nurse-founded digital wellness hub that matches nurses with self-care resources and provides a supportive nursing community. As Fifth Window’s CEO & Co-Founder, Charlene aims to shape a healthcare culture that prioritizes the well-being of the clinician workforce.Charlene received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nursing degrees from the University of California, Irvine. She is a licensed registered nurse and board-certified family nurse practitioner.As a healthcare leader, entrepreneur, and innovator, Charlene's goal is to transform healthcare delivery and operations at the intersection of compassion, innovation, and technology.
