Charles has been a part of the Renaissance team since the hotel's opening in 2007. Charles was hired to implement a day to day operating security program and staff for the property. He was also charged with overseeing the hotel's safety program which serves to protect both guests and employees and creates a safe environment for both. The Renaissance Providence has consistently been ranked in the top percent of all Renaissance hotels in terms of safety and security. Recently Charles began overseeing the hotel's Shipping and Receiving Department as well. Charles is the hotel's certified alcohol awareness trainer as well as the trainer for all annual safety certifications required for hotel staff. in the past 7 years Charles has been named "Manager of the Quarter" on two occasions. In February of 2014 he was recognized by the Training for Alcohol Procedures (TIPS) program with an award for "excellent service" and has trained over 100 people in dealing with safe alcohol service techniques.

Charles has been involved in playing and coaching football for 30yrs. He is a master of all phases of the game including development of offensive and defensive systems, development of individual positions, evaluation of players, conditioning, practice plans and game day management. Charles specializes in Quarterback development and coaching.
