SuMi TRUST is Japan's largest Trust Bank and Asset Manager. The Asset Servicing business located in Dublin, London and Cayman focuses on fund administration and accounting, custody and depositary, trustee activity and shareholder services and cash management through the treasury services. The Board contracted my consulting company, Summerhill Advisers Limited, to provide a full advisory service and the primary focus was on business development and marketing the SuMi TRUST portfolio of services through an on-going campaign of PR, promotion, building a sales team and identifying the client segments to focus on which were primarily the owner managed asset management businesses e.g. hedge funds, private equity and corporate treasurers.

Waverton Investment Management was previously called J.O. Hambro Investments Management having been sold by Credit Suisse private banking to the management in 2016. The business remains focused on wealth management for families, HNWI, foundations and charities. There is also an internal funds business established as an Irish UCITS with 5 sub funds across equities and bonds and there were two long/short equity hedge funds. My role as a Director was to restructure the Funds activity and set up an internal sales team to market the funds in the UK and through the Credit Suisse network. I left to set up my own consultancy business Summerhill Advisors

Old Mutual Wealth, formerly known as Old Mutual Asset Management, is a high quality asset manager with award winning managers in equities and bonds. I was responsible for building an international institutional investor base with a particular emphasis on the quantitative market neutral and statistical arbitrage teams, long/short equity and fund of funds, during this period created major distribution relationships with UFJ Mitsubishi in Japan, Mann Group USA, 3 Middle East banks and also launched a series of sharia compliant funds in partnership with National Commercial Bank in Saudi Arabia.

Established with 3 others a new 'alternative asset' division within Credit Agricole Asset Management which is Amundi today. Created a range of fund of funds investing in hedge funds and separate suite investing in private equity in partnership with Pantheon. Set up Credit Agricole Asset Management London in 1998 becoming Managing Director. Primary role was business development and established investor relationships in Japan, Asia, Middle East, North America and across Europe. Launched sophisticated structured product with Dresdner Bank in Germany raising €1 billion.

GNI was part of Gerrard and National, one of the London Discount Houses. GNI was a specialist futures, options and FX broker and the largest executor and clearer on the London LIFFE exchange. My initial role was to market the broking activity to financial institutions in Europe and then in 1991 to set up an internal asset management activity setting up 5 funds all investing using futures, options and FX and responsi9ble for raising the capital which we did primarily from the Middle East and Switzerland and Credit Agricole. Two of these funds went on tobecome $1 billion funds after leaving to set up on their own (Beach and GLC) these

Privately owned engineering company specialising in the manufacture of high end silver and glass decorative giftware. Joined initially to manage sales in the Midlands and South West of England and then in Germany and Northern Europe before building distribution partners in, Japan, China and Middle East, living in Toronto for 6 months from September 1984 to build North American distribution.

Joined the management training scheme of GKN after leaving the Military as they had just been awarded the contract to build the new generation of armoured vehicles, named Warrior. Involved with the team that set up the initial manufacturing plants, employing the initial workforce across all skill sets and then involved with the management of the project once production began.
