As a manufacturing engineer, I worked to implement Lean practices in the Richland Center Plant. I designed, planned, and executed several projects that lead to productivity savings totaling over $ 100,000

As the Ranger Scheduling Coordinator I create a schedule using Excel for 250 Outdoor Educators (Rangers) to facilitate the best wilderness experience for our participants and staff as well as ensure that requests for days off and work projects are processed. I also organize and plan work days, working with other departments, for up to 150 Rangers to properly utilize the man power available to the Ranch to complete projects that could otherwise not be completed

Following the Ute Park Fire in 2018, Philmont Scout Ranch delayed the arrival of participants until July 15th and this task force was created to organize meaningful work projects for more than 600 staff members, Philmont Scout Ranch, and the community. The task force developed a system through which work proposals would be submitted for approval and then resources and personnel would be assigned to the proposal. This system facilitated over 40,000 man hours of projects for Philmont and the community.

As the community service project manager for Philmont Scout Ranch I communicate with the neighboring villages, towns, and property owners to discover opportunities forPhilmont Scout Ranch to aid these individuals in wake of the Ute Park Fire. Plan, organize, and executethe resulting community service projects for the community by coordinating personnel, resources, food,tools, and transportation for projects as large as 90 people.

As a vehicle mechanic I work as a member of a team to maintain and diagnose issues for a fleet of more than 30 snow grooming machines and 35 snowmobiles.

I taught 30 courses, with a partner on the West Coast and in the Midwest to adult advisors preparing themselves and their crews for a Philmont high adventure trek.

As a Ranger Trainer I supervised and trained eight Rangers to instruct crews consisting of Boy Scouts and their adult advisors in backcountry survival and camping skills. As well as evaluated Rangers’ performance throughout the summer and gave constructive feedback. I also participated in Search and Rescue training and efforts while employed at Philmont Scout Ranch

During my Time at Briggs & Stratton I was lucky to experience several different departments. With the Facilities Engineering Dept i was responsible for contractor selection and scope of work review. I also coordinated communications, developed project timeline, and worked closely with the project manager to complete projects on-time. When I was with the Concept Team R&D I brainstormed and prototyped lawn & garden products, using Creo Software, as part of an engineering team. I also conducted tests and data collection of prototypes to determine their viability and effectiveness. With the W16 Engine Group I performed tasks involving cost control, unique customer requests, writing test requests and reports, and DFMEA (Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis) presentations on a variety of projects. With Product Reliability I tested engines and applications to simulate customer use duty cycles.In the Model Shop I gained hands on experience learning machining, turning, and welding practices.
