But I soon discovered that in Motorola, the culture was loyalty and longevity. That made a huge impression early in my career, and it has stayed with me all this time. I stayed with Motorola over 35 years.I started as a Field Technical Representative in California. My first change was to System Engineer in the new (at the time) organization called Central Systems. My job descriptions have changed through mergers and re-orgs, covering areas of system integration and design.I am proud to have been a part of a fine team of system engineers whose charter was to be on the leading edge of the technologies from Motorola Solutions, providing support to our field engineering teams and sales. It combines working with a great team and a changing landscape of products and issues. Our management gave us the room to not only do our jobs but to explore and excel. I don't think anyone can ask for a better job and management.
