Working with the Las Colinas Association and Galaxy Content Solutions, I wrote the big-as-Texas story of Las Colinas, a beloved family ranch that was transformed over 50 years into a vibrant planned community of Fortune 500 headquarters; 50,000 residents; and acres of recreational and entertainment spaces.

I coauthored and edited Fifty Years of Dreams and Discoveries, a book commemorating the golden anniversary of the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2019. Featuring photos and treasures from the UAB Archives, the book illustrates UAB's rise from an academic medical center and extension center into the number-one young university in the United States.

Fading Ads of Birmingham, published in 2012 by The History Press, reveals the fascinating stories behind many of the colorful painted "ghost signs" that linger on the city's walls. It features nearly 70 wall signs spanning a century of Birmingham history and introduces the people who built an industrial boomtown in the heart of Alabama.
