Mentoring, developing, and managing the national tender department.

Duties include managing the National Tender Department, new and existing national contracts, Key Accounts Management, creation & implementation of National Tender Standards, rendering internal group tender support throughout the organization, providing in house tender related training courses as well as securing business with new customers. Involved with mid to complex bids, projects, inter group supply bids & specialized JV Bids for products/services or a combination thereof.Responsible for a diverse national customer base which consists of universities, mining houses, utilities, manufacturing companies etc. Reported to the Group Commercial Manager & Managing Director. Responsibilities: Responsible for management of tender department ensuring tenders, quotes & empowerment questionnaires etc. are timeously submitted. Actively involved in tender pricing, tender compilation & tender submission on a daily basis for tenders. Other duties include delegation of daily workflow such as quotes, tenders vendor questionnaire’s, BEE documentation requirements, contract negotiation, attending tender clarification meetings etc.Additional duties include sales analysis, market sector/segmentation & specialty reports for the Senior General Manager.

Supervisory role which involved work flow distribution & involvement in specialized sales & tenders for electrical cables.

Responsibilities: Telesales (Low, Medium & High Voltage Power Cables), compiling & maintaining price lists for Head Office & 13 Branches on a monthly basis, responding to tenders (Municipal, Utility & Mining Sectors), costing analysis on general & specialized products.
