Senior Telecommunications Engineer supporting United States Army Cyber (ARCYBER) Command’s Network Convergence efforts by conducting network and telecommunication engineering assessments in order to produce and assist in the development of technical network discovery reports, “As-Is” / “To-Be” architectures, network diagrams, network migration courses of actions, services/resources memorandum of agreements and informational briefings for senior government officials.Design, develop and analyze existing telecommunication networks and equipment to comprehend organizational network infrastructures. Assess and design various types of communication networks to understand organizational network environments and interpret user services delivery requirements to facilitate future designs. Provides recommendations for integration of disparate organizations network architectures and implementation of service delivery strategies. Identify associated administrative procedures to facilitate future operations and maintenance (O&M) transition discussions. Configure various types of computing equipment, software and systems in order to comprehend organizational computing environments and associated administrative procedures to facilitate future O&M transition discussions. Served as Network Management Technician with additional duties as Systems Architect on Cyber Protection Team in support of the United States Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) cyber operations; provided networking technical guidance for the development of Cybersecurity mission defensive plans, that provided policy guidance regarding securing, defending and protecting networks; managed configuration files for the team’s Deployable Defensive Cyber Operations Infrastructure Kits; configured and troubleshooted network transport link in order to conduct remote cyber defensive actions; coordinated with SOUTHCOM Joint Cyber Center (JCC) and local area Network Engineers to conduct systems integration of assigned defensive cyber operations equipment; surveyed network terrain of organization to gain full visibility for the purpose of identifying placement locations of network intrusion detection sensors.

Performed duties as Senior Network Operations Technician for the largest signal battalion in the operational Army and the most forward-stationed strategic signal battalion in the Republic of Korea (ROK) and the pacific; responsible for providing strategic communication and enabling tactical satellite communications to the United Nations Command (UNC), Combined Forces Command (CFC), United States Forces Korea (USFK), and the Commanding General of 8th Army and subordinate commands in order to enable mission command, maintain the armistice, and fight tonight. Also served as the Senior Network Management Technician in the organization's Regional Network Enterprise Center (RNEC) Network Infrastructure Branch (NIB) with the responsibility of managing and overseeing daily operations of the USFK Regional Network Operations Security Center (RNOSC) consisting of 28 personnel.

Provided tactical to strategic communications support for the organization and its six subordinate units in both garrison and forward-deployed environments; managed, plan and engineered the organization enterprise network architecture consisting of four terrestrial based Wide Area Network (WAN) circuits that were required to access the Global Information Grid; charged with the responsibility for the network design, security, integration and configuration management of three network enclaves, three Unified Communication Call Managers that extended voice communications for 200+ users, five executive Command and Control mobile kits and seven small form factor Communication packages to support tactical airborne operations.

Served as Network Management Technician in the Army’s only Airborne Artillery Organization. Responsible for managing network operations cell consisting of six personnel and having oversight of the organization’s information management, Spectrum and network security sections; additional tasks included, planning, installing and maintaining the organization’s tactical communication systems consisting of three mobile network nodes and satellite communication trailers and one line of sight radio assemblage; assisted with policy development and implementation and provided technical guidance and advice on the employment of tactical communications system in support of the organization’s missions.
