I was raised in the Queensland country town of Maryborough (spent two years of primary school in Rockhampton) and attended high school in Toowoomba. Despite earlier education and aspirations in the field of marine biology I ended up as a teacher, IT Manager, HR Manager and Strategy Director. Roles as senior consultant and Asia Pacific Practice Leader in two consulting firms (Network Australia and IBM) built the skills to establish (and still operate) my own business specialising in Strategy and Business Turnaround servicing South East Asia. Currently undertaking a number of exciting challenges in between 35 weeks of "time out" over the 2014/2015 years for travel and adventures. I intend retuning to the full corporate world towards the end of 2015 unless something amazing pops up. The work challenges currently in progress include:1. Building the new Tanterra business by merging Southern Cross Management with a number of trade services companies and the acquisition and fit out of an industrial property. This new venture provides business advisory services, serviced offices and workshop solutions for high tech and specialist trades enterprises (mostly SME's). This business is also a significant personal investment in my retirement plan.2. Working with the amazing Autopia crew to help them spread the good news about their intelligent vehicle ownership offerings that can save people thousands of dollars and make life easier. This is yet another great opportunity to work with David Wakeley, having teamed up previously with him at NRMA, Virgin Money and AIM. Like Virgin Money this is another great product delivered by passionate, highly talented young people. 3. Delivering consulting services (primarily strategic planning and change program leadership) for a number of clients. 4. Facilitating some remarkable outdoor leadership programs in Zeus the Expedition Vehicle (see fb Zeus on Tour).
