Recognized for giving people choices to improve their lives and building committed respectful relationships with clients, KEP has grown into the largest micro-finance institution in Kosovo with a loan portfolio in excess of €50,000,000 and in 2009 generated a net income of more than €1,650,000. KEP is currently in the process of registering with the Central Banking Authority of Kosovo to become a bank – with a strong social mandate.• Shaped and led the Board of Directors to ensure strong accountability and performance and high standards in the overall governance of the organisation• Exercised a collaborative and inclusive process in reaching consensus decisions that were in line with KEP’s mission and ensured the active engagement of all board members• Provided line management of the Executive Director and managed the boundary between governance and management• Performed key public relations for the institution, including representation to the Central Bank and investors, signing any significant formal agreements on behalf of the board

Over the past 30 years ICMC has employed between 3000 and 400 individuals in over 40 countries, serving and protecting uprooted people: refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs) and migrants. ICMC responds to the challenges of people on the move and their communities, implementing an array of programs and advocating for rights-based policies and durable solutions.Directed strategy for Asia; achieved four-fold growth in annual revenue and enhanced program impact and reach. Built a dynamic leadership team through recruitment, coaching and mentoring of twelve international managers supervising over 260 staff in nine offices. Primary program activities include: • Resettlement to the USA of up to 7,000 refugees annually and pre-departure cultural orientation training for up to 10,000 refugees annually. • Foundation and development to full localization of 3 sustainable credit institutions, providing micro and small enterprise, consumer and housing loans, with combined loan portfolio of ₤12,000,000 and monthly lending of ₤1.3 million. • Economic revitalization of "return communities" through business grants, business and employment training;• Community stabilization for "self-organized return" groups • Emergency care to more 6,000 extremely vulnerable individuals (EVI) annually;• Legal, logistical and reintegration assistance to returning refugees and internally displaced persons;• Brokering conflict resolution to promote local integration and/or return, complemented by support to community-initiated sustainable projects;• Awareness raising campaigns and identification and care for victims of human trafficking.Fostered collaborative relationships with representatives of donors, governments and UN, international organizations, local and international NGOs as well as clergy of the Christian (Catholic and Orthodox) and Moslem faiths.

• Directed all activities of multifaceted program covering Croatia, Slovenia and Hungary engaged in processing 5,000 to 6,000 Bosnian refugees’ applications for US-resettlement a year, including case preparation, medical screening, liaison with US-based agencies in sponsor identification and coordination of travel arrangements.• Coordinated with representatives of program partners including US State Department, US Embassy, UNHCR, US Immigration and Naturalization Service and International Organization for Migrations to effect program implementation.• Initiated and championed the introduction of improved operating systems and technology for more secure and efficient operations, which led to greater standardization in refugee case management throughout Europe and the Middle East.• Advocated on behalf of refugee populations requiring resettlement and other services.

• Designed innovative US State Department-funded refugee reintegration program to serve over 2,000 beneficiaries per annum.• Established and oversaw operations of micro-enterprise development program, including development of training curricula; recruitment and supervision of staff; established business plan appraisal criteria and systems, and business grant disbursement procedures; as well as set-up of business advice and monitoring service.• Wrote program budgets and reports.

• Proposed and negotiated funding for EU and UNHCR sponsored Program to promote repatriation among Vietnamese asylum seekers in refugee camps in the Philippines, through building of entrepreneurial and vocational skills, and facilitating the refugees’ access to credit upon return to Vietnam.• Established and directed operation of all program activities in the Refugee Transit Centre in Manila and the Philippine First Asylum Camp in Palawan, including: writing of business development training curriculum; set-up and oversight of an information and counselling centre and writing and monitoring of program budgets. Coordinated and negotiated with UNHCR, the EU, the Philippine Government and other Non-Government Organizations (NGO’s).

• Directed ongoing evaluation and development of cross-cultural orientation training in the largest refugee-training program in the world (over 19,000 persons per annum).
