Oversaw system administration on multiple virtualized platforms. Leveraged extensive knowledge of servers running HP-UX, Solaris, Linux (RHEL) and AIX operating systems to facilitate O/S installation, patching, configuration and monitoring of backups, assistance with application rollouts, audits and disaster recovery. Evaluated and identified vulnerabilities, opportunities in cost management of IT estate, and information security, implementing corrective actions. Installed, patched and upgraded Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS) to improve application performance and establish automation. Produced documentation describing TWS installation and update process for other SAs at Citigroup. Spearheaded all facets of project lifecycle and capacity planning for new and upgraded platforms, as needed. Key Accomplishments:• Upgraded several AIX database systems with new hardware, executing capacity planning, and scheduling to ensure streamlined transitioning; identified savings in maintenance costs and improved virtualization of systems involved through powering an underpowered environment. • Conducted SAN technical refreshments, facilitating efforts by the Storage Management group to retire old storage frames, resulting in savings on leasing and maintenance costs. • Migrated existing HP-UX and Solaris-based applications to Linux or AIX, removing applications from old technology to new platforms that aligned with strategic direction of the company; supported cross-functional teams to ensure preparation and coordination of transition, implementing modifications to strategies as needed.

Programmed and administered Prime 50-Series systems supporting telephone call routing and quality control. SA duties included O/S installation and upgrade, capacity planning and user assistance. Wrote programs in PL/1, FORTRAN, and system languages for a call routing application.

Developed a PBX management system, ARTACS, using C programs and the Unify DBMS on HP 9000 systems. Designed and programmed updates and wrote technical documents.
