Born into a footwear family it is no surprise that I am passionate about shoes, how they are made, their design and how correct fitting footwear can transform people’s lives.Having worked in the footwear trade since leaving University as a footwear buyer I had the opportunity to work with my twin brother to turn a failing footwear business, DB Shoes around. Focussing on my business studies degree and SWAT analysis in particular we embarked on the strategy of turning DB shoes from a loss making made to order manufacturer into a profitable, specialist wide fitting internet / catalogue business. During that journey, talking to many of our wonderful customers, it became quite clear to me how important good fitting shoes are to the enjoyment of life. As a result, we have made it our mission to offer shoes which give you the “freedom” to walk in complete comfort and the “joy” of living life to the full without thinking about your feet.It has been an honour and privilege, along with my Brother to have guided DB Shoes through this change and to see the Company reach 100 years!
