  Happily retired (June 2014) after 20 plus years of progressive exploitation by Medicare, insurance companies, Worker's Compensation, hospitals, and Medical/Surgical Boards. This exploitation resulted in a huge increase in restrictions, regulations, and non-reimbursable work activity, alongside greatly diminished reimbursement. As a consequence, I noticed, in my med-legal record reviews, most of my previously respected colleagues were engaged in surgeries which were contraindicated or unnecessary in a high percentage of cases. This realization was the final blow which sealed the deal on my early retirement. Now, more than ever, I enjoy tennis, golf, exercise, art, music, and travel on a regular basis.
