From a Central Control Room, responsible for the overall technical operation of the process/plant and to provide operational support to the team. This position is key to the execution of the production plan and includes reporting on production performance. Also with an understanding and ability to manually intervene into PLC controlled programmes if necessary. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical assistance to the team Control and initiation of PLC controlled programmes Fault finding and troubleshooting General clearance isolation of equipment Co ordination of maintenance resources Filtered beer production - calculating and control of volumes and blending. Coordinating, control and initiation of supply of bright beer to packaging Communication and reporting of production performanceKey Achievements: Beer quality and consistency(BQI) measured against multiple sites, results for 2010 – 2012 > 98% Delivered a cost saving of $60,000pa through the implementation of a waste reduction program that reprocessed waste back into the production stream Significant contribution to improve the quality of the product through the identification and elimination of technical faults during process. This was achieved through a detailed investigation using simulation to identify critical failures which were then rectified.
