Currently, I am working as the city reporter for the Clarion-Ledger in Jackson, Mississippi. I previously was a reporter for the Salisbury Post in Salisbury, North Carolina. My main beat was covering Rowan County and the North Carolina General Assembly, but I also wrote features, business stories, daily reports and took photographs. Before that, I worked as a reporter and weekend editor in Columbia, Missouri for the Columbia Missourian. I covered local government, the environment, wrote feature stories and other general assignments. I also worked as a copy editor and edited news stories for grammar and style. Another job I had at the Columbia Missourian was working for the paper's social media outreach team where I scheduled and wrote Facebook and Twitter posts and used online tools like parse.ly and Google Analytics to analyze trends and web traffic for our website. January through May of 2022, I was working in Brussels, Belgium as an intern for MLex Market Insight. MLex is a publication dedicated to covering and analyzing regulatory risk for businesses, corporations, law firms and hedge funds. I focused on writing stories covering energy and climate regulation in the European Union, while also contributing to MLex's antitrust and financial services beats.
