About Charles Wright

As a first-generation college student, I learned first-hand about the social and economic impacts of poverty and the challenges in everyday life. Curiosity drove me to want to understand social issues at a macro level and their effects on local communities. I knew that I wanted to lead social change and educate others on its importance.DEEP COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITYIn my early career, I worked directly with children and families. With local organizations that sought to prevent drug and alcohol use, provide foster care, and more, I immersed myself in social services. The work was important, and I saw the impact.STRIVING FOR GREATER IMPACTWith real-world experience and evaluation expertise, I took my first role with a national leader at a pivotal time when the social sector needed to understand, identify, and use its outcomes. How were organizations changing lives? I led the local outcomes movement resulting in better investment decisions. My progression to an executive leader was fueled by these questions and goals: • How can we make evaluation an imperative in every part of our work?• How can we work collaboratively inside the organization and in the community?• How can we move from fundraising to impact investing? Turn results into learning?GLOBAL LEADERSHIPMy local reputation led to impact at the national level, sharing best practices across the US and influencing new initiatives at United Way Worldwide. I served on taskforces including Emerging Leaders, Outcome Measurement, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Standards of Excellence.AREAS OF EXPERTISEI am known for: • Teaching and motivating others to improve overall team performance• Creating efficiencies to scale operations and sustain long-term success • Consulting to improve organizational performance and develop strategic partnerships Corporate Social Responsibility – Business Strategy – Strategic Partnerships – Change Management – Program Development and Evaluation – Process Improvement – Outcome Metrics/Measures - DEI – Operations Leadership For a conversation about community impact, social responsibility, performance improvement, change management, or business/community partnerships, please reach out to me at (513) 252-1682 or Charlesuw98@gmail.com
