My personal role is as director & project manager of Emberton & Co. This is a new, innovative business primarily sourcing manufacturers & suppliers of rare or discontinued Classic Car parts. This requires an objective, problem solving approach wherein I try to utilise the '7 Habits of Highly Effective People' especially thinking 'Win-Win'. Collaborative working & networking are used to apply emerging technology to old problems. I aim to uphold the highest standards of products & customer care with over 98% of our dispatches arriving on or before their estimated delivery date. We also intend to encompass Land Rover Camper Conversion/Restoration & Land Rover Camper Hire. Additionally we supply 1:24 Scale Models for display or to accessorise garden railways.Parts:Our expanding parts operation is focused on Land Rover electrics, trim &.fittings from 1948 to the present day. We have a very strong export business with over 1/3 of our sales overseas, in 2018 to over 120 different countries. We are Tier One suppliers to a number of major Automotive manufacturers continuation programmes, all the major Land Rover restoration companies & many of the best known parts retailers. We work collaboratively with a number of parts manufacturers and engineering companies to bring new parts into the market place, some after absences of many years. Many of our products are wholly UK manufactured by small family companies.CampersWe are slowly developing this aspect of the business, reproducing components not produced since the late 1970s, developing new components to embrace modern technology & improve functionality within the classic Land Rover vehiclesModels:We focus on 1:24 scale & Land Rover models in any scale. During my career with ULHT I successfully combined two separate jobs, Staff Nurse Intensive Care (ICU)/Charge Nurse Coronary Care (CCU), effectively interfacing between the two different critical care specialities.In my ICU nurse role I managed and directly cared for either 1-2 Intensive care patients or upto 4 high dependency patients. These were usually requiring ventilatory support for surgical or metabolic disorders, frequently sepsis or respiratory failure. Occasionally I would be involved in the care of trauma patients and the transfer of ventilated and sedated patients to other specialist units by road or air.In the CCU Charge Nurse role I managed the care of 16 CCU patients and associated multidisciplinary care team. At times this would involve direct patient care but daily it would involve work stream planning of admissions, discharges, transfers alongside elective interventions such as cardioversions and at time outreach and support of colleagues with patients on other wards. At night this outreach role was often more intensive and involved formal assessment of patients presenting to A&E with liaison as required with senior medical staff to deliver timely and appropriate care. My interests were multidisciplinary and nurse education, palliation within critical care, counselling and bereavement. As ALS instructor I supported the clinical development of my colleagues both within and outside of formal Resuscitation Education.
