I am a revenue accountant. I have a high degree of technical skills in SAP and Excel that has allowed me to reengineer the Komatsu income statement for several of our divisions, aligning the P/L with our marketing strategies. Within my position I have participated in the consolidation of several business units; served as the subject matter expert on a team to build a business warehouse; and, put into practice new accounting policies and procedures. Working within our project team, I built the Accounting process for the Komatsu Care and DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) warranty programs (ASC 605-20 Revenue Recognition – Services and ASC 605-25 Revenue – Multiple Element Arrangements). While I manage the accounting of these programs within Excel, I have documented the process to move from Excel to Business Objects. The project has earned our team the Komatsu Presidential Award of Excellence. This was the first award for a U.S. division in 20 years.Currently I am working with a team developing the Accounting procedures for the new Komatsu marketing initiative called Rental RMK or New DORF (Dealer Owned Rental Fleet), (ASC 840-10 Leases - Overall, ASC 840-20 Leases - Operating). The Auditors consider this an operational lease accounting process which requires new types of system configurations, accounting procedures, and reporting structures.
