Supervised the large scale production and purification of vaccines in a "clean room" environment for phase I, II, & III human clinical trials. Novavax developed a platform upon which it could manufacture a variety of proprietary recombinant nanoparticle vaccines. This proprietary platform combined the flexibility and speed of genetic engineering with the efficiency of single-use disposable technology to produce highly immunogenic nanoparticle vaccines. Novavax is using this nanoparticle platform to develop vaccines against viral, bacterial, and parasitic diseases to address major unmet medical needs to protect against human pathogens.
