Dedicated, life-long non-profit society professional focused on building strategic partnerships and collaborating with like-minded individuals to further mutual goals.Recipient of the Business Improvement Areas of British Columbia Lifetime Achievement Award (2021), the Urban Development Institute Pacific Region Public Practice Award (2022) and the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association (DVBIA) Lifetime Achievement Award (2022)— renamed to the Charles Gauthier Lifetime Achievement Award for recipients starting in 2023. In June 2021, after a thirty-five year career, I stepped down as President and CEO of Downtown Van, also known as the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association (DVBIA), after twenty-nine years at the helm to enjoy life at a much slower pace to pursue my many hobbies and interests that include travel, music, languages, archery and magic (2024 winner of the International Brotherhood of Magicians IBM Ring 92 Ray Gamble Trophy 🏆 🥇in recognition of excellence in Impromptu Card Magic).

The DVBIA has won over a dozen awards since its inception in 1990 from groups.
