My summer for Match.com led to a wide variety of projects and assignments. From assisting, maintaining and analyzing the financial forecasting models to M&A research, I developed a much higher level of corporate finance experience during my summer with Match.Main Project: Develop a fully automated financial model to show customer purchases by age, gender, channel and package purchased.Certain skills added during this project include:*Financial Modeling*Financial Analysis*SQL *VBA Macro Automation*Trend Analysis*Financial ReportingObjective Achieved: *Assists finance in daily, weekly, monthly understanding of customer reactions to marketing campaigns. * Allows Finance and Marketing to reallocated spend to capture higher ROI.

I spent three years full time at Hallmark and one summer as an Intern. I got my start in Treasury; focusing on daily cash management, short-term investing, cash-flow forecasting, and bank fee analysis.After a year in Treasury, I transitioned over to Management Reporting, an area dedicated to reporting financial results by business unit to upper management. In that role, I gained a strong understanding of financial reporting systems such as Hyperion/Essbase and SAP, and used that knowledge to help the business unit's understand their financial results. I also had the opportunity to head a group of co-workers to develop and implement a reporting system that would help Hallmark accurately claim a tax deduction under IRC 1099.The main objectives in my role in Corporate Management Accounting and Reporting were:*Accurately report Revenue, Returned Product, and Term (discount agreements) for Hallmark by a business unit and retail channel level*Update and maintain the business product structure for reporting purposes*Maintain and develop reporting mechanisms for IRC 1099*Assist business unit analysts and managers in actual reporting adjustments, forecast inputs, and specialty accounting programs.*Have an overall understanding of the financial reporting systems to assist business units in understand accounting allocations for terms and returned products.
