Commonwealth Biofuels (CWBiofuels) proposes to build, own, and operate biodiesel production facilities in in the Central Atlantic United States. Each location is a stand-alone entity that will produce 3 million to 15 million gallons of biofuel annually. Our proprietary technology allows for multiple feedstocks including by-product corn oil, jatropha, algae, and waste oils such as chicken fat, choice white grease, tallow and yellow grease.

Vision Consulting Associates (VCA) is a consulting firm that provides strategic and business guidance, due diligence and deal structuring services. Areas of subject matter expertise of the staff are financial management, control and analysis; organizational budgeting; accounting and finance; entrepreneurship; and risk analysis and management. The firm's portfolio of interests include community and economic development, for-profit and not-for-profit entrepreneurship, energy independence, food security, general management, immigration reform, large-scale environmental and energy infrastructure development, national security, and strategic change.in providing Our clients are economic development stakeholders, venture capital and private equity firms, community development venture capital firms, corporations and entrepreneurial ventures. We have worked on over 100 short-term and long-term assignments with key global relationships across a variety of disciplines and sectors.

I was an adjunct faculty member from 2006 to 2008. In 2009 I was asked to join the full-time faculty as a Visiting Lecturer on Finance. I teach economic development finance and am developing courses in urban economic development policy, accounting and financial management and sustainability.

In collaboration with the Center for Sustainable Global Enterprise and Entrepreneurship@Johnson I taught a course called "Financing Renewable Energy Ventures". I developed several other energy, project finance and cleantech courses.

Interstate Biofuels LLC was formed to develop, own and operate biofuels production facilities on Long Island, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. The partnership was adversely affected by the 2007/2008 financial crisis and was dissolved by the principals in 2009.

Developed criteria for identifying, analyzing and executing investments in private equity funds and program related investments (PRIs) for his private foundation. Monitored a portfolio of debt and equity investments. Supported and advised a team of relationship managers on transaction evaluation, structuring and due diligence issues on an existing portfolio and on a pipeline of prospective transactions.

Led entrepreneurial asset management effort that created a first-of-its-kind $14 million private equity fund listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. Managed staff of 12 and oversaw portfolio investment review process. Invested in emerging and start-up businesses in food manufacturing, security, and construction sectors. Business travel and deal due diligence in Zimbabwe, Democratic Republic of Congo, Botswana, Zambia, Namibia, Kenya, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Indonesia.

Launched and managed the Johannesburg office. Executed a strategic plan for the establishment of a public equities management business covering the listed securities of the then 12 African stock markets and for a private equity fund before the first free and fair election pre-Mandela in South Africa.

1. Various investment banking roles including restructuring of a $150 million portfolio of distressed debt from large corporations. 2. Marketed merchant banking and corporate finance services to portfolio of 140 public and private middle-market and Fortune 1000 companies.3. Principal level responsibilities for buy-side investment and management of senior debt, subordinated debt and equity securities in 7 buyout transactions, with 4 liquidity events out of a total 70-company in-house private equity portfolio totaling $1.1 billion.4. Counseled senior management and Directors of retainer clients, advising on corporate finance, acquisition and divestiture matters. 5. Responsible for sell-side structuring, negotiating and implementing lead or senior managed equity and debt financings and strategic transactions with an aggregate transaction value exceeding $600 million for major global corporations in the industrial, technology, healthcare and financial institutions sectors.
