A financial and risk management professional with more than 15-years of work experience in the banking industry. Previously worked as an examiner(auditor), senior analyst and manager in the Financial System Supervision Department at the Bank of Papua New Guinea for nine years from 2000 to 2008. Followed by a further six years of industry work experience as the Finance & Admin Manager and General Manager for a medium-sized financial institution (Polsav) from 2009 to 2014. Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce majoring in accountancy from the University of Papua New Guinea. Member of the PNG Institute of Directors and CPA PNG. Also an alumnus of the BTRM Faculty/Institute UK where I hold the BTRM professional designation and certification in Bank Treasury Risk management. Previous held director position with the Federation of Savings and Loans Societies in PNG(FESALOS) from 2012 to 2013. Have also attended numerous work training including seminars and conferences in South Korea, Manila, Singapore, Hong Kong, Colombo, Australia and in PNG.Have been involved in a number of organisational projects and achievements including: In 2013, led a project team comprising of members of the board, senior management in liaison with a consultant from a strategy consulting firm (Balance Scorecard Australia) based in Adelaide to develop a 5-year Strategic Plan for a regulated financial institution. He also met with various strategy system vendors in Sydney to evaluate the strategy software. 1n 2011, was involved in the initial negotiation and acquisition of a core banking system/software replacing a legacy system where he led the due diligence team comprising of an ICT consultant and board members to travel to Manila, Singapore and Melbourne to meet with vendors. He continued to provide oversight on the project that led to the successful migration of data on record time and launching of the project with the approval of the regulator (Bank of PNG).
