Other tasks I performed include: Conducting content and discourse analysis of documents and websites pertaining to the effects of the East African fibre-optic cables published by international agencies, government agencies, representatives of the tea, tourism and BPO industries, and local and international media; Coordinating the activities of the local team with those of international collaborators; Conducted interviews with key informants in the public and private sectors that have influenced broadband policy in Kenya; Managing and overseeing activities of the local team, disseminating project information and producing technical documentation; Travelling to international conferences and research visits in other institutions; Assisted in literary research and review for meta-analysis; Conducted qualitative data analysis using NVivo, ATLAS ti for coding textual and open-ended survey responses; Data coding, data entry, transcribing, data analysis and assistance with writing up reports; Ensuring the validity and reliability of data at all times; Developing project portal and using blogs and other social media to share project results; Developing policy briefs for stakeholder meetings; Producing regular reports for donors. -
