Counseling and representation of persons who have life care/health care needs during retirement. I focus on estate planning for times when a person is unable to mentally handle the normal decisions of life through use of powers of attorney or trusts. I also represent a family member of someone who did not plan for the issues involved when mentally incapacitated.

I have practiced law since November, 1987. I began with a small firm in Fort Worth, Texas, and went solo in 1991. My practice is based upon much of what I learned then helping families deal with the legal aspects of illness and paying for health care as we age.I worked with a broad range of legal issues, personal injury-both plaintiff and defense, estate planning, probate, trust administration, guardianship, bankruptcy, divorce, child support, ERISA, and consumer litigation.I have used my experience as a Certified Public Accountant to help my clients deal with financial problems through budgeting, planning, negotiation, bankruptcy, medicaid planning and application, and through dealing with debt in State courts: both defending clients and suing abusive creditors.
