As an intern at the Kenya Revenue Authority, I am currently pursuing my passion for statistics by engaging in various roles that contribute to the organization's objectives. My responsibilities include preparing daily and monthly revenue collection and performance reports for the North of Nairobi, Tax Service Office, providing real-time insights into revenue performance. I also analyse data on payments without payment, the Top 50 decliners, and gaps, as well as monthly revenue expectations, which leads to actionable improvements and enhanced taxpayer compliance. My skills and hard work earned me an opportunity to work in the DTD Commissioner's office, where these reports assist the Commissioner with strategic planning for the department. Additionally, I manage and consolidate monthly Performance Improvement Program/Performance Watch reports for the department, which allow for a comprehensive overview of individual performance and facilitate the identification of trends and areas for improvement.

Responsibilities:• Transformed the process of preparing monthly tax collections and performance reports within the Premier Tax Office, resulting in increased accuracy and efficiency.• Implemented a streamlined mapping system that assigned Compliance Officers to taxpayers, improving overall compliance and reducing discrepancies.• Successfully established a system for preparing daily revenue performance reports within the Premier Tax Office, providing real-time insights into financial performance.• Proactively collected feedback from Compliance Officers on the Top 50 decliners and gaps, leading to actionable improvements and enhanced taxpayer compliance.• Revamped spreadsheets and databases by developing and enhancing functionality, including templates, forms, and logical functions, resulting in improved data management and analysis capabilities.• Utilized Jaspersoft to extract data, apply filters, and create visually appealing layouts such as tables, charts, and graphs, facilitating effective data visualization and decision-making.
