Started my career on Wall Street in Credit Derivative Operations, having the pleasure of learning the meaning of stress/volatility during the GFC of 2008. Then moved onto front office in Emerging Markets Cross Asset Sales learning how to view investments around the world and across the capital structure. I still have a passion for Macro and Geopolitics.Since moving back to Montreal, I have held a variety of entrepreneurial roles in buy-side firms – start-ups, emerging managers, and larger managers. I learned the hard way that being successful in asset management is about more than just a “topical” strategy, it’s about managing a business and controlling what you can control: Operations/Finances/Marketing/Technology, and especially people relationships – do all of that exceptionally well and you have a better chance of success.I am also committed advocate for the emerging manager community in North America as the President of the Emerging Manager Board of Canada as well as on the Advisory Committee for the PGEQ, Quebec's emerging manager FoF.My original sports are alpine skiing and football, but I love tennis and golf now too as I get older!
