Director Of TechnologyBp Oct 2010 - PresentLondon, England, GbDirector of Technology at BP in the Oil and Gas.• Established and lead the first Wells partnership (the largest and most important part of BP) to move innovation forward. This is a real honor given the excellent talent this organization has and my coming in from outside the industry. I have lead one of the teams dealing with the issues from the 2010 incident providing 100’s of millions of dollars in value from 10’s of millions in funded projects my team created.• Lead the development and implementation of a new offering called “Grand Challenges”. These are problems that have plagued the industry for years and are worth hundreds of millions of dollars in benefits each year given we can solve them. These have been presented by me to the CFO (number two individual at BP), CIO, SVP Technology, and the CTO with me leading the multidiscipline team solving them. Just finished the third one which returned $500 million dollars in annual revenue in less than one year. This also lead to my superior reporting to both the CIO and the SVP Technology• I just organized the first Quantum Computer pilot in Oil and Gas to my knowledge.• Ran a 50 person multi-day workshop (half BP experts/half experts from around the world) where one of the participates has two Nobel Prize winning students who said it was the best ideation/problem solving event he has ever attended, and he is on the President’s Jason Committee.• I have been asked to report to multiple V.P’s and to lead other highly important projects for BP. -
Cio/CtoGuardavent, Healthcare Division Jan 2006 - Oct 2010• Co-created a new business venture, the company’s largest in 10 years, that dramatically cuts healthcare costs and has been independently audited by the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School to be worth at least $1 B in revenues by 2012 (50% profit potential). Co-wrote business plans, developed analytics, generated more than 10 patents, and fulfilled all company objectives on time and within budget. • Led the development of cutting edge web-based technology which utilizes analytics, artificial intelligence, ubiquitous communication, and data collection to monitor and predict adverse events in patients at home with chronic health conditions.
