Charles Lim is the Managing Director, Asia at Fluidra (BME:FDR). A Singaporean with extensive regional experience, Charles has over 25 years of experience in leadership roles within Fortune 500 companies. He dedicates his career to driving business growth, talent management, corporate restructuring, M&A, and crisis management. Charles started his career at Tyco International in 1996, which later merged with Johnson Controls (NYSE:JCI) in 2016. From ground-up, he became Tyco's General Manager in Singapore in 2008, leading growth initiatives across Southeast Asia. In 2020, he rejoined Johnson Controls as Managing Director for Malaysia and later oversaw regional commercial strategies for the combined York, Johnson Controls, and Tyco businesses, spanning HVAC, Fire, Security, and Building Controls.From 2011-2016, Charles also led business operations for United Technologies' elevator business in the region and was subsequently managing a $300 million portfolio within UTC’s Building & Industrial Systems (NYSE:UTX) division based in Malaysia & Brunei, with businesses in manufacturing and distribution of HVAC, Controls, Elevators, Fire & Security. Holding an MBA, Charles is recognised for his ability to lead large business organisations in Asia by integrating cutting-edge technology with business strategy to drive success. In addition to his corporate role, Charles has been appointed as an adjunct instructor under the Ministry of Higher Education's CEO@Faculty program in Malaysia since 2015, where he mentors students and lecturers by sharing his extensive industry expertise.
