He served for twelve years on the Minnesota Lawyers Professional Responsibility Board, including six years as Board Chair, and is recognized nationally as a leader in the fields of legal ethics and professional liability. He has served as President of the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers and Chair of the Professional Liability Committee of the International Association of Defense Counsel, and currently serves as a liaison to the ABA Standing Committee on Lawyers Professional Liability.
