Owner and Operator of “Carolina Concealment and Defense”, a firearms training company, primarily instructing citizens of NC in the Legal Use of Deadly Force and Concealed Handgun Carry.

Responsible as the sales team leader for growing the Eastern NC sales territory. The sales focus was primarily on American Standard Heating and Air Conditioning dealers and assisting those dealers as a support resource. My efforts in the territory (30+ counties of North-Eastern NC) for 2014 yielded a +16% growth. As a sales professional, operating on “straight commission”, I was able to build upon my ability as a self-starter to operate in a highly organized and structured method. These organized methods included a weekly schedule of appointments. Those appointments were conducted in an intentional manner, providing dealers with a high level of satisfaction and added profitability to their businesses. Presentation of product samples and sales programs were performed on a consistent basis. Worked very closely with the branch manager and branch team personnel.

Responsible as a key team member of a new branch in Eastern NC to grow and develop the sales territory into a viable profit center. Developed a dealer base for the Amana line of heating and cooling equipment. Developed commercial sales of industrial duct and accessories beyond projected goals. Achieved recognition and numerous trip awards for sales excellence.

Responsible for the day-to-day operations and profitability of this Trane dealership located in a small town near Lake Gaston, NC. Supervised installations as the company heating and cooling licensee. Prepared and presented sales proposals for both residential and small commercial jobs. Responsible for recruitment, hiring, and training employees. Maintained and developed vendor relationships. Developed and prepared marketing through company website, newsprint, radio, billboards, and direct mail. Coordinated installation code compliance through local inspections departments.

Responsible for the light commercial and residential division’s (Standard Electric Company) sales of HVAC systems. Developed marketing strategies to maintain a profitable division. Prepared sales proposals and presented them on a retail level. Continually exceeded sales budgets and expectations. Managed larger projects through to completion. Earned NC Heating License #24449 H-3-I while at SE&M Constructors. I still maintain that license in good standing.

Responsible for outside sales, developing new accounts and managing existing accounts. Called on accounts throughout the Northeastern portions of NC for the Greenville, NC and Rocky Mount, NC branches.

Administered the schedule for a platoon (approx 10) Reserve Deputies; confirming their fulfillment of monthly required volunteer time. Responsible for patrol duties with the Uniformed Operations Division, filling in for deputies that were off on vacation or sick. During the implementation of the School Resource Officer program, I took vacation time off from my regular job to work as an SRO Deputy at Nashville Middle School one day a week for 2-1/2 months. Volunteered at least 8 hours per month as a ride-along deputy. Resided in Battleboro, NC.
