Following his degree in biophysics and work in the field of intellectual property at Berkeley Research Group in San Francisco, Charles now serves as General Manager at GeoVisual Analytics. GVA is an international agricultural technology firm that uses atmospheric modeling, machine learning, and remote sensing to generate predictive and company-specific analytics for make-buy-sell decisions and process improvement for the specialty crop industry. Charles remains one of the founders and a General Partner at McGregor & Associates, where he acted as the lead investor in seed and growth-stage rounds. In addition to raising capital, overseeing investment analysis for an average of 250 firms a year, and deal structuring, Charles focused on the AgTech, Biotechnology, and Biomedical sectors.Having been voted RVC Angel Investor of the Year in 2016, Charles occasionally acts as both a mentor for multiple accelerators and as a panelist and moderator aiming to educate both investors and entrepreneurs about the process of building and funding a startup. Charles also currently serves on the board of Rockies Venture Institute.Charles holds a B.A. (cum laude) in Biophysics from Claremont McKenna College.
