When the cone of the missile made contact or crumpled, it would cause the sensor ring to resonate at a frequency which would make its explosives go off at a specified G level or upon impact. Participated in the development of new series of accelerometers for the Sea Wolf submarine which sensed any vibrations in the sub and send out an alert as to which compartment of the sub needed to be quieted to avoid detection. Was part of the development team that created more than 30 new accelerometers, including some for vibration which creates sound, some for pyrotechnics, and seismic for measuring low frequency & low vibration.Worked in a very hands-on way to transition projects from conception, to paper, to first build, to test and then create assembly travelers (instructions) and test travelers (instructions). Worked with engineers to develop the first surface mount accelerometer for use an "Activity Monitor" for use in "Smart" pacemakers and defibrillators. This was the very first prototype for a medical line. This accelerometer sensed when a person was active or inactive and increased the pulse rate as needed for the heart, breakthrough technology for its time.

Tested and aligned military ground support 400Hz power supplies. Tested and aligned 60Hz commercial power supplies and occasional maintenance of the 3 phase 400 Hz generators.
