Responsible and accountable for effective program delivery of the Regulations Program and Ontario Regulations 162/06, the Development, Interference with Wetlands and Alterations to Shorelines and Watercourses Regulation. Department responsible for file administration, and correspondence for: a. Permits and approvals under the Regulations Program b. Legal enforcement activities under the Regulations Program c. Site Inspections associated with Regulations Program d. Preparing and presenting reports as well as facts and evidence at Conservation Halton Section 28 Hearings and legal proceedings. Represent Conservation Halton on external committees with municipal and Regional partners, as well as with stakeholder groups from planning and development industries. Provide expert evidence at Local Planning Appeal Tribunal, Mining and Lands Tribunal Hearings and Provincial Court Proceedings. Assist in the development of policies and long range strategies for internal review processes and delivery of the Authority’s Regulations Program. Responsible for hiring, supervision, training, development and performance review of employees assigned to the Regulations Program.Track the administration of files and submit all required billing information to the Conservation Authority’s Finance Department. Liaise with other Watershed Management Services programs and other Conservation Halton divisions, external agencies, the development community and the public at large to ensure communication, information sharing and excellence in customer service. Serve as back up to the Senior Manager and/or Director, Planning & Watershed Management as directed.
