During my time within Merck Group Netherlands, I managed all the aspects of duties related to the annual budgeting and financial audit. Furthermore, I methodically prepared, reviewed, and defined monthly financial cost reports as well as led dialogue with budget holders in relation to future costs. I also leveraged astute financial acumen to calculate CIT and submission of monthly VAT declarations. Additionally, I oversaw and scheduled several duties performed by shared service centres. In this role as Controller, I credited for several legal entities in the Netherlands, including holding companies. I used my leadership acumen to supervise and guide one controller as well as coordinate the duties of senior accountant and finance assistant. Moreover, I ensured the effective implementation of a financial cost report showing actuals per month, deviations to both budget and forecast on a detailed cost level. Besides, I administered forecasting, budgeting, reporting of sales, costs, cash flows, transfer pricing adjustments and coordination financial audits.
