DHS's current facilities are spread among more than 40 buildings in the Washington, DC area...and this program provides a more unified, secure campus that brings together its executive leadership and operational management...and their new headquarters will allow for more efficient incident management response and command-and-control operations.The GSA is developing a secure facility for DHS and their tenant commands at St. Elizabeth's, a National Historic Landmark (NHL) and former Government-run hospital for the insane...and while the site is divided into West and East...DHS Headquarters and Tenant Commands will be housed on both, and function as one unified campus.Parsons has teamed with AFG to provide CM services to the GSA/DHS on this very exciting campus historical renovation and multi-phase new construction...and I am flattered that they thought of me, and asked me to join their team on this one.I have general Quality Assurance Engineer responsibility for the entire program, with specific project responsibility for SCIFs/SAPFs, Data Centers, Access Control & Intrusion Detection construction in DHS Operation Center/Coast Guard Headquarters.
